I love not having to be in a hurry in the mornings.
So I try to wake up early. It's easier with the light.

Tonight and last night, been playing the new album from the Pains of Being Pure at Heart over and over.
So good.

School.

Long days and nights spent there, working and thinking.

I have spent many Saturdays with these friends.
Good times.

Been working a lot lately.

I drew this illustration for a fun school project that was all about pancakes. Looking at it now and considering how crazy busy I've been these past weeks, I wouldn't mind sitting down in one of those armchairs.

The mornings are dark now, and so will be the afternoons soon enough. Weather forecast for tomorrow promises snowstorms. I'm still knitting my winter scarf, though.

It seems I'm not able to get enough of several things at the moment. Lingonberries is one of them.

some of the other things I can't get enough of at the moment:

-the song "Bruises" by Chairlift
-sleep, especially during the hours I ought to be awake
-drawing with pencils, undoubtedly inspired by Joanna Hellgren's "Frances" comics

I love to observe all kinds of animals living in the urban landscape, especially birds. Blackbirds and crows are my favourites. Have you ever noticed how incredibly clever crows are at using tools? And the endearing way in which blackbirds move?

On Saturday's nature trail adventure we saw at least fifty dragonflies, one impressively big green grasshopper, four viviparous lizards, huge beetles, one frog and hundreds of snails. An excellent trip!
